N3TSCAN Privacy Policy

Introduction

N3TSCAN ("the App") is a local network scanning and monitoring tool developed by Yildirim Ozhan Cevik ("we", "us", "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles your information.

Data Collection

N3TSCAN does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data. The App operates entirely on your device.

Specifically:

  • We do not collect personal information such as your name, email address, or phone number.
  • We do not collect device identifiers or advertising IDs.
  • We do not use analytics, crash reporting, or tracking SDKs.
  • We do not use cookies or similar tracking technologies.
  • We do not serve advertisements.

Network Scanning

The App performs TCP connect probes to devices on your local private network (IPv4 ranges defined by RFC 1918 and link-local). This scanning activity:

  • Occurs only when you initiate it by tapping the scan button.
  • Targets only private IP address ranges on your local network.
  • Does not scan public internet addresses unless you explicitly configure diagnostic tools to do so.
  • Does not transmit scan results to any external server or third party.

All discovered hosts, open ports, security findings, and scan history remain stored locally on your device.

Speed Testing

The Speed Lab feature connects to publicly available endpoints (such as Cloudflare speed test servers) to measure your internet connection performance. These connections are standard HTTPS requests and do not transmit any personal or identifying information beyond what is included in a normal web request (your IP address as seen by the remote server).

Local Data Storage

The App stores the following data locally on your device using standard iOS mechanisms (UserDefaults and temporary files):

  • Automation profile settings
  • Scan session history
  • Speed test results and trend snapshots
  • Export files (JSON, PDF, CSV) you generate

This data is not backed up to iCloud and is removed when you delete the App.

Third-Party Services

N3TSCAN does not integrate any third-party services, SDKs, or frameworks that collect user data. The App does not contain:

  • Analytics platforms
  • Advertising networks
  • Social media integrations
  • Remote configuration services

Children's Privacy

The App does not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13. Since the App does not collect any personal data from any user, it is compliant with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and similar regulations.

Security

All data processed by N3TSCAN remains on your device. Network scanning operations use standard TCP connections over your local network. No data is encrypted for remote transmission because no data is transmitted remotely.

Your Rights

Since we do not collect any personal data, there is no personal data to access, correct, delete, or port. If you wish to remove all locally stored App data, simply delete the App from your device.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
